sunday sunday

another week gone! i can't believe that we're half way through august. it's very surreal. it seems like the month just started.

annnnnnnnnyway we are.

this was a good week, um what happened, well i booked my holidays in october, when my boyfriend will finally come to visit, which i am so excited for. at work things went pretty well, i think, i got a lot done, i think, haha. it's so hard to know what is expected of me. i sometimes feel the panicky feelings that was getting at my last job start to well up but then i remember that my job is totally different here and i don't work for psychos and i need to calm down because freaking out just ... makes everything worse.

ummmm let's see what else, oh yeah i got recruited to be on the social committee at work, which is great but pretty hilarious.

oh this weekend i discovered a whole ton of new (to me) music. the only stuff that is really sticking out to me right now is this guy and these guys. the first guy is 'the other guy' from postal service, haha. i just did not really ever bother checking his shit out, but yeah it's pretty good. he records under a couple of different names and with some other people as well but yeah. it's nice.

yesterday i had brunch with my friend cheryl on granville island, and then we went shopping along south granville. the only thing i bought was the current issue of corduroy. there is some really neat art in there. i was looking for something else, but that's ok, i'm pretty happy with this. then we went to this really cute cafe and met up with her boyfriend for an early dinner and a few drinks. they had an impressive imported beers list. i had a couple of peronis, and something called a harp, from ireland. then i went home and pretty much went to bed! haha. i woke up yesterday at 6:30 am (nightmare about a huge, huge spider ... those are the only ones that can wake me up out of a sound sleep, for sure) so i was really, really tired after being out in the sun all day.

wellllllllll anyway, i'm pretty hungry. i'm going to go find something for dinner. i'll probably be in bed pretty early tonight too, you know, i have my first social committee meeting tomorrow so i have to be super sharp. hehe.
